A good crowd was on hand to witness  the Fox & Fiddle stave off elimination Tuesday night with a dramatic 4-3 OT victory over Bruell Contracting to even up their best of three championship final 1-1 in the North Bay Men’s Ball Hockey League.

Anthony Maldon scored twice, including the OT winner, while Tye Sheppard and Alain Pouliot also replied for the Fox.

Logan Hunt scored twice for Bruell with Troy Lajeunesse getting the other.

The game was very intense and Bruell thought they had won at the end of regulation but the buzzer sounded to end the third period just before Kyle Regimbold tapped in a rebound.  Both Bryan Lawson and Jake Piche played very well in their respective nets.

The third and deciding game goes Thursday night 7 p.m. at West Ferris Arena

In the Consolation final, first year team King’s Sportswear capped off a great season and were crowned  champions as they defeated Necessities 10-6 to take the series 2-0.  Bill Morin paced King’s with three goals.  Darcy Karswagen, Tony Rose and Parker Hamelin each had two while Travis Allured had the other.

Mathieu Ouellette scored four for Necessities while Mackenzie Ottereyes and Kosta Bitis had the other two.

Necessities is also a first year team and had a great season and showed  lots of promise for the future.
