North Bay's Ken Peroff spent 4 seasons as a member of the Brampton Battalion.

Now manning the blue line for the University of Guelph, he recalls rumours of the OHL coming to North Bay and namely his club which has been rumoured to be looking to move for at least the past 5 seasons.

"There's been rumblings for this for years," said Peroff on Monday night.

"Even when I played there, players would joke with me; 'hey, Kenny maybe we're moving to North Bay.' I'm not overly shocked there's been rumours for a while and I saw a deadline that they had to relocate and I know North Bay is on the top of list."

However, he does feel for the Brampton fans that have supported the team since 1998.

"As a former Battalion it's very sad to hear about the teams decision to leave the city and I really feel for their die hard fans. On the other side, I know North Bay's love for hockey and have no doubt in my mind they will be supported.

"I'm also very excited for the positive impact a Major Junior team can have on the minor hockey throughout the city as well."
