Figure Skating club Medals in the Soo

A trio of North Bay Figure Skating Club skaters came home with medals this weekend as they took part in the 2005 Skate Canada Northern Ontario Festival of Stars competition in Sault Ste. Marie.
A trio of North Bay Figure Skating Club skaters came home with medals this weekend as they took part in the 2005 Skate Canada Northern Ontario Festival of Stars competition in Sault Ste. Marie.

Amanda Kraft won a Silver medal Saturday competing in the Ladies Introductory Interpretive category with a well skated performance to music from "Les Miserables".

Jessica Tod competed Saturday in the Ladies Gold Freeskate category and finished in a tie for 5th place.

Tod rebounded in the Ladies Bronze Interpretive category on Sunday and won the Gold medal with an excellent skate as "Mademoiselle of Paris."

Katelyn Megginson competed Saturday in the Ladies Junior Silver Freeskate event, placing 4th in her flight which allowed her to advance to the finals on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday morning she competed in the Ladies Bronze Interpretive category and her "Shania Twain" program earned her a Silver medal, placing right behind fellow club member Jessica Tod.

Megginson then skated in the Jr. Silver Freeskate finals and won the Silver medal earning her a spot to advance to the Trillium STARskate Championships in Kitchener in March.
