It was a really good Father's Day for two of the three Bulldogs teams that played the triple header on Sunday afternoon.

U18 Bulldogs

The Senior Varsity Bulldogs hosted the Vaughan Rebels in a Fathers Day showdown Sunday at the Steve Omischl Complex.

In a defensive battle, for the most part, the Bulldogs came away with a 13-9 victory.

Mark Bergins interception, and big return, set up an Owen Webb TD pass to WR Sean Kelly for the Bulldogs first score of the game. Aden Dionne added the XP to put the Bulldogs up 7-3.

The Bulldogs maintained momentum as Vaughan's first play from scrimmage after that TD pass resulted in a Sean Kelly interception and return for another Bulldogs TD.

The Bulldogs took a 13-3 lead late into the game, with Vaughan scoring a TD with less than a minute remaining. Logan Cutter put the game to rest recovering a Rebels onside kick attempt. The Bulldogs then kneeled, running out the clock to gain their first victory of the season, improving to 1-1.

The U18's opened the season with a tough 17-16 loss to Clarington last week.

The SV Bulldogs are back in action next Sunday, on the road against the York Lions.

U16 Bulldogs

Meantime the U16 Bulldogs were defeated 29-6 by the Sudbury Spartans in the middle game of the Father's Day Bulldogs triple header at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex.

U14 Bulldogs

The North Bay U14 Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season with an impressive 37-0 victory over the visiting TNT Express.
