Vision Volleyball Club had a successful weekend on the court.

Two of its teams came home with medals from the OVA McGregor Cup.

Vision Attack Red 15UG played in Oshawa in Select Division on Saturday. During the day the team finished first in their pool play. Their afternoon crossover game had them facing Etobicoke Titans but the Vision team would take the game in 2 sets, 25-18 and 25-22. With this win, it put them in the semi-final game, where they played Halton Hurricanes.

A two-set win again gave the team a ticket to the gold medal match. Here they faced some tougher competition against Hamilton Smash. Hamilton went on to win the game 17-25 and 17-25. Having played some of their best volleyball at this tournament head coach Danny Gosselin was very pleased with the team's accomplishments and bringing home a silver medal.

They now will focus on training and practicing as the group heads to the ESPN Disney Classic next month.

Meantime, the Vision Club also saw Vision 20/20 16UG playing in the OVA McGregor Cup 17UG in Sturgeon Falls on the weekend.

With a two-game win in pool play the team sat first in their pool.

In the afternoon they faced Orillia Suns in the crossover game.

With a two-set win 25-16 and 25-18 they would advance to the semi-final game versus the Ottawa Valley Vikings.

The Vision team quickly took a commanding win and advanced to the gold medal game where they faced Barrie Elites Blackout.

In a two-set finish, the Vision team would win the gold medal going undefeated all day, not dropping a single set.
