The North Bay CT33 Thunderbird Swim Club gave back to their community this past weekend. The swimmers decided to forgo the annual seasonal gift exchange again this year and opted to give to the community.

Members of the team and their families purchased items such as pajamas, blankets, toys, infant items, arts and craft supplies, learning toys as well as items for the parents. The team gathered together this past Saturday to celebrate their efforts with a potluck breakfast and social time.

Thunderbird team member, Evan Kilroy, will be competing at the Ontario Junior International event which will be held at the Toronto Pan Am Centre as part of the North Eastern Ontario Region (NEOR) Tour Team, December 14-16. Evan qualified for the event and the Tour Team with his time in the 100 M breaststroke.

The Thunderbirds will be hosting the Paula Palangio Memorial NEOR 3 Developmental meet being held at the CFB North Bay Fitness and Wellness Centre Pool January 19th and 20th.

The team is looking forward to the New Year and will continue to train with coaches Pierre Simard, Penny Lecour, Hillar Lainevool and Elle Louise George during the Christmas break.
