CT-33 Thunderbirds swimmers bolt forward in Petawawa

CT33 Swimmers competed this past weekend in the Petawawa Poppy Meet held at the Dundonald Hall Fitness, Sports and Aquatics Centre this past weekend. 

The one day short course event was hosted by the Petawawa Predators. 

This Swim Canada sanctioned event draws in swimmers across the northeast region. 

Capturing first place finishes in all four of their respective events were Zachary Boucher, Jesse Hammond, Peyton Paralovos and Riley Periard.

Other swimmers with first place finishes were Timothy Corbeil, William Hotson, Drew Sinclair, Melody Farrell, Emilia Lainevool, Jaiden Paralovos, Isabella Trottier and Olivia Trottier.

Thunderbirds with top three finishes include Sam Denomme, Cole Paralovos, Abigail Betsill, Annika Lainevool, Sydney Laughren and Ryleigh Paralovos.

North Bay coaches Pierre Simard, Penny Lecour, Ray Picco, Hillar Lainevool and Jennifer Piper were pleased with the results from the meet and the success and growth of all swimmers.
