Coach4Food gets another half ton

The North Bay Engraving Shop Novice A Trappers have added more than half a ton to Tom Hedican's 2012 Coach4Food Program. The team, sponsored by Ted Thomson's Assante Wealth Management, boosted this year's drive by 1,537 pounds, pushing it beyond 17 tons to 34,729 pounds.

The Coach4Food staff will continue the drive to fill the shelves of the North Bay Food Bank for one more week.

Hedican, a professional goaltending consultant, is running practices using NHL and European skill drills for teams which do food drives for the North Bay Food Bank. Coach4Food will wrap up Dec 19.
