North Bay Bulldogs football is back in North Bay for 2022.

The club reported that registrations have been open and continue to be open for 4 programs. This summer the Bulldogs are running a full slate of teams starting with Bantam for 13 and 14-year-old's, Junior Varsity for 15 and 16-year-old's. Senior Varsity for 17, 18 & 19-year-old's and NFC Mens for 20+ group.

“With the 2 years away from tackle football, we have many new faces on our teams, but our coaching staff and our volunteers have worked hard to create this football program so kids can have a positive football experience this summer," said Marc Mathon, president of the Bulldogs.

The teams have begun training camp and for those who think they many have missed the boat, but organizers say fear not, there is still room for more players.

“We still have a need for more players and there are some great playing opportunities available for 17 and 18-year-olds," said Mathon.

The teams still have three weeks of training camp and two pre-season games.

Players looking to join the Bulldogs can either call 705 498-5929 or visit www.northbaybulldogs.com or come to the Steve Omischl Sports Complex and talk to a coach Friday at 6 – 7 p.m or Saturday noon to 1 p.m.

Many changes for the Bulldogs in 2022, including the addition of many local advertisers as well as a new Bulldogs tunnel for players to run through during home games.

“It’s huge…. the manufacturer said it’s the biggest one they have made so far!” says Mathon.

Training Camp this year includes pre season game… a first for the Bulldogs varsity program. On May 21st the Bantams will host Peel and the JV and SV teams will host Sault Ste Marie in a triple header pre-season event. All the action starts with BBQ lunch at 1 p.m. and Kick-Off at 2 p.m.

Camp continues through until June 4th when 3 of the 4 teams will play at home in the season home opener at Omischl in a huge triple header football event.

The Bulldogs still have room for more players aged 15 to 18 & older…. Players are welcome to come to practice and speak to coaches about playing at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex Friday evening 6 pm or Saturday at noon.
