Bruell Contracting defeated the Fox & Fiddle 4-2 to win their first Men’s Bal Hockey League championship in front of a good crowd at the West Ferris Arena Thursday night. Bruell won the best two of three series 2-1.

Fox got on the board first early in the first period from a goal by Riley Gravelle but Kyle Regimbold replied for Bruell in the last minute of the first to tie things up.

That goal seemed to spark Bruell as they took control of the game as Drew Wallace and Alec Shaw each scored in the second to give Bruell a 3-1 after two.

Kyle Ladd’s goal early in the third pretty much iced it for Bruell.  Matt Romberge got a late goal for the Fox but they could not get any more past Bruell goalie Jake Piche.

With the win Bruell was presented with the prestigious John Loyst Cup and now joins a long list of great past champions.
