Big third leads Battalion over QMJHL's Wildcats

The North Bay Battalion scored four times in the third period en route to a 5-4 win over the Wildcats

The North Bay Battalion scored four times in the third period en route to a 5-4 win over the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats during action at the Kitchener pre-season showcase Saturday afternoon. 

Justin Brazeau, wearing the 'C', scored the game-winner in the final minute of regulation to secure the win. 

The big forward also scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period. 

With the Troops down 3-1 in the third period, Brandon Coe got the comeback rolling with a powerplay marker at 6:01 of the final frame.  

Bradley Chenier scored just over two minutes later to even the score at 3-3. 

However, a minute after that, Jordan Spence gave the Wildcats the 4-3 lead.  

Matthew Struthers scored the other Battalion goal in the first period. 

Christian Propp made 25 saves in the win.

Dylan Seitz had two goals for the Wildcats.   

The Battalion finish up the pre-season showcase with a game against the host Kitchener Rangers on Sunday afternoon at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.
