The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears and West Ferris Trojans faced off on Wednesday evening in the 2019 Senior Boys NDA championship at Cundari Field, with the Bears coming out on top 1-0 after a close and well-fought matchup.

Zachary Roy scored just 14 seconds into the game, his ninth of the season, after defender Conor Doyle launched a long ball from his own end that gave Roy a breakaway opportunity. Ferris mounted pressure on an unflappable Bears defence that held out for the remainder of the game, as Riley Yakabuskie kept his second shutout of the season in goal for the eventual champions.

With their third consecutive NDA title locked down, the Bears head to Sudbury this Friday to compete in AA NOSSA while West Ferris will stay in town to play in A NOSSA after an impressive run in the NDA playoffs.
