Bears win first two at Port Hope Hockey Tourney

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears hockey team won its first two games competing in the Trinity College Invitational Hockey Tournament in Port Hope. In their first game Friday afternoon, the Bears mauled Ridley College 14-4.

In their first game Friday afternoon, the Bears mauled Ridley College 14-4.

On Friday night the Bears continued their winning ways beating the host club from Trinity College, 4-1.

In the Bears last round-robin game, they face a team from Lakefield College.

The Bears have already made it into the tournament playoffs, as the two victories were good enough to give them top spot in their division and a birth in Saturday night's semi-final at 8 p.m.

The tournament final takes place Sunday at 10 a.m.. The Bears are the only non-private school invited to the event.
