The St.Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears Sr. Boys Basketball team won the NDA championship in two straight games over the Chippewa Raiders and winning the second game in convincing fashion thanks to a 70-49 victory.
Thanks to finishing in the top spot in teh regular season, the Bears received a bye to the semi-finals.
After defeating Widdifield in the semi-finals, the Bears were matched up against the third place Raiders who had beaten the West Ferris Trojans in their semi-final.
Both teams are taking part in the NOSSA Championships this weekend.
Chippewa will be travelling to Sudbury to take part in the AA Championships while Scollard will be hosting the AAA division.
Team members include: Levi Udeschini, Matteo Pavone, Noah Conrad, Harris Butt (injured), Nathan Dufresne, Evan Derosier, Conrad Smith, Keats Vanderlee, Nathan Desrosiers, Christopher Sweeney, Kyle Koostachin, Stephen Crea. Coaches: Rick Vanderlee and Josee Omiccioli.
