Bears and Trojans win their NDA football semifinals

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall senior Bears football team won their NDA semi-final match on Cundari Field over Algonquin by a score of 35-10.

The Bears had three passing touchdowns by quarterback Owen Webb two of them to Nathan Fok and one to Trey Anthony.

Bears running back Riley Lavergne added 2 touchdowns including one long 75-yard scamper. Tyler Mullan added 5 converts and an interception. Sean Kelly also had an interception.  

Raphael Dohoun scored the lone Baron touchdown while Martin Dube added a field goal and a convert.

Meantime in an emotional semi-final the West Ferris Trojans dumped the Widdifield Wildcats 18-13 at the Steve Omischl Sports complex Friday night.  

Trojans quarterback Ethan Estabrooks threw a touchdown pass for the Trojans.

The game also the final football game for the Widdifield Wildcats football team as the school will close in the summer of 2020.  

"Mrs. Herst and Mrs. McDiarmid are so proud of our coaches and players who played with integrity and heart in our last Widdifield football game," the school stated on the Widdifield Wildcats Events Facebook page Friday night. 

The time and date for the NDA senior football final have not been released.
