Barons win OFSAA opener (Updated)

The Algonquin Barons Edged Holy the Trinity Tornadoes from Kanata 2-1 in their opening game Wednesday afternoon of the OFSAA "AA" Championships taking place in Belle River, Ontario.

The Barons were down 1-0 after two periods before Nathan Hewitt scored two unanswered third period goals to lead the North Bay school to victory.

The Barons next game is Thursday morning at 10 a.m. as they take on the Holy Cross Hurricanes from Peterborough.
