Barons reach jr. hoop final (new)

St. Michael’s won the junior girls division in the annual Raider basketball tournament on the weekend. They defeated Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin Barons 54-23 in the final with N. MacMartin leading the way with 13 points.

St. Michael’s won the junior girls division in the annual Raider basketball tournament on the weekend.

They defeated Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin Barons 54-23 in the final with N. MacMartin leading the way with 13 points.

Alisha Perron had seven points for the Barons and Kim Gibson added five.

West Ferris Trojans edged Timmins Theriault 23-21 to win the consolation side.

C. Lynham had eight points for the Trojans and E. Hoetmer seven. Kylie Daigle had eight points for Theriault.

St. Michael’s defeated Chippewa Raiders 59-24 in the semifinals. Sam Loretto had eight points for the Raiders and Julie Stinson seven, one more than Laura Venasse. N. Macmartin and C. MacMartin had 12 points each for St. Michael’s.
