The Algonquin Barons junior boys football team recorded their first victory on the season with a 26-14 defeat of the Chippewa Raiders.
The Barons offense received touchdowns from Patrick Maille and Ryan Fournier. Raphael Dohoun scored on a 2 point conversion and also kicked two field goals.
The Barons defense was given a boost with a pick six touchdown by linebacker Jarod Daigle.
The Raiders touchdowns were scored by Jacob Steringa and Kyle Hebert. Gavin Neal kicked two extra points.
Both teams are back in action next Thursday.
