SAULT STE. MARIE — The North Bay Athletics lost three games to the Greyhounds here on the weekend in Northern Ontario Bantam Hockey League action.

The 6-0 Hounds won 8-3, 12-1 and 2-0.

“Overall it was a decent showing,” Athletic s head coach Glenn Cundari said. “We got our butts kicked in Game 2, but we were not prepared to play. No matter what your ability is, if you just show up you are in trouble.

“We had a very strong Game 3, especially in our own end. In fact, it was our best showing of the season. I believe playing the best teams early is going to help us in the long run,” he said.

Jeremy Roy was in goal for the first and third games and Dylan Marshall handled the duties in the second game.

Liam Berti, Aaron Kennedy and Joel Senecal had the goals in the first game and Pierre Seguin had the goal in the second game.

The Athletics are back in action in North Bay hosting Sudbury Lockerby Confectionery Saturday and Sunday Oct. 16-17 at the West Ferris Arena, and Pete Palangio Arena.
