On the December 1st and 2nd weekend, seven members of the Apollo Gymnastics Club attended their first Provincial Qualifier of the season in Orangeville.
Nadia Amyotte, competing in the Level 6 age 16+ category, brought home a bronze medal on the balance beam with a score of 9.125. Amyotte was also received a score of 9.375 on floor. She placed 7th all around. Team mate Jenna Lowe, competing in the Level 6 age 14 category, was awarded a bronze medal for her performance on the vault, with a score of 9.05. She was 6th overall.
Other highlights include, Kayla Pyne (Level 6 age 15) scoring a 9.4 on the floor. Izzy Thomas placing 5th on vault and Maeve Blake scoring a 9.025 on beam and floor.
Up next for Apollo, on January 25 – 27, 30 members of the womens competitive team will be attending the Envol 2019 qualifier in Ottawa, ON.
