It may be a record breaking Christmas for North Bay native Kevin Kerr.

The forward with the Flint Generals of the United Hockey League is on the verge of breaking the all time minor professional hockey goal scoring record.

The 37 year old, notched his 663rd goal Wednesday night, tying the record set by Scott Gruhl, who did it from 1979-1996.

The North Bay native, who's record breaking journey was featured in the Hockey News earlier this season, has been out of the Flint line-up for the clubs first 28 games because of a knee injury.

He played his first minor professional hockey game in 1987, and on Thursday night he has a chance to break that record as the Flint Generals take on the Muskegon Fury.

If you want to listen to the possible record breaking game, you can hear it on the Flint Generals website at www.flintgenerals.com.
