A good day of golf Lakers style

The annual Nipissing Lakers Men's Hockey Golf Day Hosted by Skaters Edge Source For Sports and the Station Tap House and Steak Co. continued the tradition started by Mike Gibb and Boston Pizza.

The annual Nipissing Lakers Men's Hockey Golf Day Hosted by Skaters Edge Source For Sports and the Station Tap House and Steak Co. continued the tradition started by Mike Gibb and Boston Pizza.

This years event featured more than 110 players a new record, and a great time was had by all.  More than $10,000 was raised during the event.  

Coach McParland was elated with the tremendous support of sponsors and golfers who participated this year.

"This golf day played at Osprey Golf Club will help us to provide an outstanding academic and athletic experience for our student athletes playing hockey this year for the Varsity Lakers," he said.

"I would like to thank all our sponsors and guests who supported this years event, enabling Nipissing to recruit and retain the best student athletes possible."

Paul McLean owner of  Skaters Edge Source For Sports added, "As a community we should be supporting Nipissing and University athletics. Nipissing is one of the economical driving forces of our local community and deserve our support."
