The 45th annual NDA High School Hockey Tournament begins today at both Memorial Gardens and West Ferris arena.
Five local teams will take to the ice including Chippewa, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall, West Ferris, Algonquin, and Widdifield.
Out of town competition includes Central Algoma, Confederation, Espanola, LoEllen, Manitoulin, L'Horizon and St. Benedict.
There is no charge to watch, however fans are asked to make a food or monetary donation which will go towards the North Bay Food Bank.
Last year the tournament donated $1500.00 and 136 pounds of food.
