2 Local Youth Bowlers going to Provincials

A total of 16 Local Youth Bowlers from Partners Bowling in North Bay competed in the 2nd step of the 4 Steps to Stardom Tournament in Sturgeon Falls on Sunday, December 11, 2011. This is a major tournament in the YBC.


A total of 16 Local Youth Bowlers from Partners Bowling in North Bay competed in the 2nd step of the 4 Steps to Stardom Tournament in Sturgeon Falls on Sunday, December 11, 2011. This is a major tournament in the YBC. It’s a tournament which goes through four steps leading up to the Canadian National Championships. The 4 steps are House Round, Zone Finals, Provincial Finals and finally National Finals. The bowlers from North Bay competed in 5 out of 6 possible Singles categories.

In the Bantam Boys division, last year's zone champion, Dylan Grant captured a Bronze Medal missing the gold medal by 6 points. In the Bantam Girls division, Kyrsten Tremblay captured a Silver medal. Taylor Couvrette captured her first Gold medal and will represent our zone at the Provincials in March 2012. In the Junior Boys division, the zone champion from 2010 in the Bantam division, Liam Smith captured a Silver medal. For the 2nd straight year, Cody Edmunds will represent our zone at the Provincials as he captured the Gold medal. Last year both Liam and Cody went to the Nationals in the Junior Team division. In the Junior Girls division, Willow Arbour captured a Bronze medal. In the Senior Girls division, Kaycee Burridge captured the Silver medal after a heartbreaking loss in a tie breaker game.
