Repeating my comment above....They have the data on this, and can see how covid is currently spreading. They have targeted areas that are highest risk for spread (+1 hour sharing a space without masks). This means restaurants, fitness centres, and social get togethers. 20-30 minutes in a store with a mask on is not considered high risk, so they have only asked stores to reduce to 25% occupancy.

I think it’s fair to say that Dr Strang and Premier McNeil understand the impacts of Covid. They are making efforts to reduce the impacts on the NS economy in the long term through a short, swift partial shutdown (2 weeks) only in areas that are highest risk for spread (+1 hour sharing a space without masks) like restaurants and fitness centres, and social get togethers. It’s a targeted, and decisive approach and therefore one to be applauded.

It can be both, right? They were successful because they channeled their strength and hope, where 99% of us would falter. They continue to do so. Saying yes to having their story told might result in selling more product...sure. So their back-story is a positive for their business. Why does this discredit them in your eyes?
