BREAK AND ENTERS IN THORNE (North Bay, ON) North Bay OPP is investigating a series of break-ins in the town of Thorne, Ontario approximately 60 km northeast of North Bay. On Friday Oct. 24th, 2003, at approximately 7:30 a.m.

North Bay OPP is investigating a series of break-ins in the town of Thorne, Ontario approximately 60 km northeast of North Bay.

On Friday Oct. 24th, 2003, at approximately 7:30 a.m., police were dispatched to 73 Spruce Ave., Thorne where thieves entered the locked garage of the residence sometime overnight.

They made off with several power tools of a value of approximately $3,000.00.
Later on Friday, police were dispatched to 72 Spruce Avenue where someone entered a locked garage.

No items were taken in this break-in. No items were taken as well in another break-in to a garage at 74 Spruce Avenue.
On Tuesday October 28th, 2003 at 8:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a possible break-in at 51 Cedar Street in Thorne.

Residents of this address found that their garage door was wide open in the morning.

It is undetermined whether someone broke in or they left the garage door open the day before.
Police are continuing the investigation to these break-ins and responding to any leads that come up.
