911 call leads to impaired charge On October 23, 2015, North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a “911” call at approximately 8:15 p.m. in South Himsworth Township.

911 call leads to impaired charge

On October 23, 2015, North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a “911” call at approximately 8:15 p.m. in South Himsworth Township. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they were informed that the person who had made the call had left.

A short time later, police located the person and the vehicle he was driving on Beaucage Road, Nipissing First Nation.  

The vehicle was stopped and, upon further investigation, the driver, a 67-year-old male from Nipissing First Nation, was arrested and charged with Driving With More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on November 3, 2015.
