Road Reopened To Transports
Transport trucks are now being being allowed to travel along Hwy 17 approximately six kilometres east Mattawa.
OPP had prevented transport traffic Wednesday night due to a low-hanging hydro wire stretching across the road.

The wire came down after a transport caught hold of it and pulled it down part way along with the hydro pole. Hydro crews were called in to make repairs and the highway is now reopened for transport traffic at that point.
