It wasn't a good day for one Sturgeon falls resident.

On the evening of  April 10, Nipissing West OPP responded to a call to assist an ambulance at a home on Cache Bay Road in Sturgeon Falls.

They found a person who had fallen downstairs, but was on conditions not to communicate with the occupant of that residence from a previous domestic dispute.

The injured person was taken to the local hospital by Nipissing Emergency Medical Services with minor injuries and later released.

The 26-year-old from French River, was arrested and charged with failure to comply with release order.

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in North Bay.

The OPP will not release the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
