Traffic stop leads to impaired charge

The North Bay Ontario Police (OPP) continues to be vigilant in Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) efforts throughout the year.

On September 27, 2015, at approximately midnight, a member of the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol on Highway 11, North Bay, when he stopped a vehicle after noticing it weaving in its lane. Further investigation resulted in a charge. Jamie MCCULLAGH, age 41, of North Bay, has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b), and Driving While Ability Impaired, contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on October 13, 2015.
