Distracted driving campaign results
The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment has completed the Distracted Driving Campaign which ran from March 14 to March 20, 2016. Officers laid 12 distracted driving charges relating to cellphone use while driving, and an additional two charges for careless driving, also related to cellphone use.
Distracted driving continues to be a concern on our highways and officers will continue to enforce this legislation.
The OPP would like to thank the many Ontario residents and visitors who did their part to ensure that they and their families made it through the March Break safely.
