RIDE program leads to charges

On Mar. 18, 2017 at 3:17 a.m., North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program on the Highway 11/17 bypass at Frost Street in the City of North Bay when a vehicle was stopped. Police conducted an investigation and the driver of the vehicle Richard Vega Galvan, age 25 of North Bay, was charged with refusal to provide a sample of his breath contrary to section 254(5) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Apr. 4, 2017.
