On January 12, 2018, at 12:33 a.m., officers from the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, in the City of North Bay, Ontario.

On Jan. 12, 2018, at 12:33 a.m., officers from the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, in the City of North Bay, Ontario. 

After police investigation, the driver, Joshua Grenier, age 23, of North Bay, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  •  Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and
  • Driving While Under Suspension contrary to section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). 

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Jan. 30, 2018.

On Jan. 7, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., officers from the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 63, in the City of North Bay, Ontario. 

After speaking to the driver, it was determined that he had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, Travis Agley, age 36, of Balsam Creek, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

  • Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol, contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), and
  • Driving with More than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC. 

The accused's driver's licence will be suspended for 90 days with an Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS).

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Jan. 23, 2018.
