Driver loses control and hits a hydro pole, four homes and two other vehicles

Police say alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident

Two teens were ejected from their car as a third teen lost control of the vehicle and collided with a hydro pole, four houses and two other vehicles Sunday in Temiskaming Shores says the OPP.

The accident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m., on Whitewood Avenue in Temiskaming Shores.

The vehicle was travelling westbound when it lost control say police,

A total of three people were involved in the collision. The motor vehicle was towed from the scene.

The 16-year-old driver, sustained minor injuries. Both passengers, a 15 and 17-year-old were ejected from the vehicle. The 17-year-old suffered minor injuries. The 15-old suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital. 

The occupants of the houses were not injured.

Police say alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident.

Members of the Temiskaming OPP, the Temiskaming District Emergency Medical Services and the Temiskaming Shores Fire Department, responded.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with this ongoing investigation.
