Drinking and driving gets all the publicity --- but drinking while pushing a baby carriage?

On Saturday at around 1:45 pm the Manitoulin OPP was advised of an intoxicated male in the town of Gore Bay.

It was reported that this man was extremely intoxicated and was pushing a baby stroller while riding a bicycle. A short time later police saw the man going into a restaurant. While police spoke with him they determined he was intoxicated.

The man became very belligerent and combative with police and so was handcuffed and arrested.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Edmund Hore, 25 years of age from Gordon Township, was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault Police with Intent to Resist Arrest,
  • Being intoxicated in a Public Place,

Hore will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on Monday January 18, to answer to his charges.
