Third arrest made in double murder of young women in Fort Erie, Ont.

FORT ERIE, Ont. — Niagara Region police say they've made a third arrest in connection with a double homicide in Fort Erie, Ont.

Police say a 29-year-old Toronto man was arrested on Wednesday.

He's been charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

The suspect was with a 25-year-old man from Markham, Ont., at the time of his arrest and police say both had illegal drugs on them.

Both men have also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the murders of 20-year-old Juliana Pannunzio and 18-year-old Christine Crooks on Jan. 19.

Twenty-two-year-old Christopher Lucas of Toronto was charged with two counts of first-degree murder on Aug. 26. Lucas is also known as rapper El Plaga.

A 29-year-old Toronto woman was charged with accessory to murder after the fact and obstruction of justice on Monday.

Investigators said several individuals from outside the Niagara Region were at a rental property for a birthday party in January when the murders occurred.

Police have said that some of the people in attendance that night have still refused to co-operate. Police are strongly encouraging those individuals to come forward and speak with detectives.
