Police arrest teen boys from Mississauga, Ont., for allegedly burning Pride flag

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Police in Peel Region say they've arrested two 16-year-old boys from Mississauga, Ont., for allegedly burning a Pride flag.

They say officers investigated a video circulating on social media depicting a Pride flag burning on the ground. 

The force says the video was reported to them on June 8. 

Police say the two teens were arrested Thursday and referred to the Youth Pre-Charge Diversion Program.

The force says Peel officers take all reports of hate-motivated incidents and crimes very seriously.
