Pedestrian killed in suspected hit-and-run late Saturday in Toronto's west end

Toronto police say a pedestrian has been killed in an alleged hit-and-run late Saturday.

They say the collision happened at Weston Road & Dee Avenue in the city's west end. 

The victim, whose name has not yet been released,  was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they're searching for the driver responsible.

The incident marks at least the second pedestrian to be killed in a collision this year in the city.

Last year there were 27 pedestrians killed in traffic collisions in Toronto.
