With broken and heavy hearts, the family of Andrew Wilson (March 22, 2001 - September 5 ,2020) announces his sudden passing due to an ongoing heart condition. Loved and remembered by his sister Juliana, his father John (Tiana) and his mother, Kristin (Glen) . Also dearly loved by his grandparents, Kathryn Wilson of North Bay and Duncan Wilson of Red Lake, Bruce and Pat Edey of North Bay. Aunts Amy Wilson ( predeceased 2005), Lisa Edey (Todd) , and in Oshawa Uncle Ryan (AuntieTanya) Edey and their daughter Makena. Left to carry on his legacy of living life to its fullest are countless Friends who meant the world to Andrew.

Andrew was so excited to start his new journey at Canadore College in the digital cinematography program . His love of his family, friends and especially his life lead to beautiful moments to all that knew him. Andrew’s infectious smile and easy going personality allowed him to go through life touching the lives of all he encountered. We will love him forever and carry him in our hearts .

Cremation has taken place and Andrew will be laid to rest at a later date with family present. On Saturday September 12th between 2pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm, the family invites everyone to Hillside Funeral Services to share condolences and wonderful memories of Andrew. The family wishes to thank all the first responders, doctors and nurses as well as the Canadore students (Nathan and residence staff) for their bravery and efforts during this tragedy. The family also thanks everyone for their love and support in walking the journey to healing with us. In lieu of flowers Andrew’s wishes were to donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the North Bay Chapter of the Special Olympics

Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitation will be by reservation only during the following times 2-2:45 p.m., 3-4 p.m., 5-5:45 p.m., 6-6:45 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Please contact the Funeral Home to reserve your time slot at 705 474-7655. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building.
