With sorrow the family announces the passing of Penny with her loving family at her side at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of Donald of 52 years of marriage. Loving mother of Sheila Maki (Doug), and Michael Emms (Nathalie). Cherished Nani to Dylan and Karlie Maki, Nolan and Camden Finley, Jordan, Joshua and Jenny Emms . Penny was predeceased by her children Tanya Whitford, Mandy Whitford, and her parents Charles and Lucille (nee Rock) Barnes. She is survived by her sisters Colleen St. George (Herby), Peggy Ginger (Ted), Debbie Wood (Gordon) and Terrance Barnes (Sandra). She also held a special place in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Penelope’s wishes cremation will occur at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium with no public services. A private inurnment at All Saints Mausoleum will follow. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jinnah, Dr. Kumar, and all the Nurses and Staff of C3 and A3 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their outstanding care and compassion.
