Peacefully, at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, on Monday, April 26, 2004, at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Reg. Loving mother of Clyde Lewis (Elaine) of Hamilton, Bill Walkem (Cindy) of Cambridge and Fay Scappatura (Tom) of Calgary. Sadly missed by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and by her special friend Herb Kannegiesser. Survived by her sister Kay Johnson of Fort Erie and by nieces and nephews. Gwen was previously active in the community as a member of the Oddfellows Rebecca Lodge, Cassellholme Auxiliary, Nipissing Rifle and Revolver Club and the Bethel Gospel Chapel. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Terrace Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
