It is with sadness that the family of Carroll Vipond announces his passing on August 21st at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Florence Vipond and two sisters Margaret and Mary. Carroll was a veteran of World War II having served as a mechanic and instrument technician. Upon his leaving the military, he owned and operated Vipond Electric along with his wife until +retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret, niece and nephews Blair Brandon (Shannon), Kelly Barrett Brandon (Ellen), Dennis Brandon, Steve McDonald (Janice) and Lynn Goodhill (Greg), Heather Cardinal, Richard Cardinal, Dave Saad (Beth) and great nephews Michael and Steve Saad and great niece Sarah Cardinal.
Travel was an important time in Carroll and Marg’s life whether it was south for the winter or attending many RV gatherings enjoying the camaraderie of their many friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Thursday August 23rd at McGuinty Funeral Home with a visitation taking place from 12:00 to 1:00 followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 pm. Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
