(February 9, 1932 - September 10, 2017) - Passed away peacefully at Westbury Long Term Care on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 85. Daughter of the late Archie and MaryAnn Truchon. Devoted wife of her late husbands Ralph Matera and Roland Hamelin. Loving mother of Mary Anne (Jim) Bridge, Josie (Bob) Allward, Kathy Matera (Derek Generoux) and Frank (Karen) Matera. Proud grandmother of Michael (Kyla), Kevin (Jen), Christopher, Katharine and Sean. Great grandmother of Tyson and Brynley. Sister of the late Jack (Simone) Truchon, Theresa (late John) Ringler, Ron (Mary-Lynn) Truchon, Rachel (late Bob) Agnew, late Helen Truchon, Fred (Barbara) Truchon, Rene (Mary) Truchon and Diane (Terry) Beauchamp. Friends and family will be received at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 9 am till time of memorial mass at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
