Who everyone knew as Joe, slipped away peacefully on June 28, 2018 just shy of his 96th birthday. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his daughters: Cécile, Lorraine (René), Jeannine (Jean-Marie) and Joanne (Robert). Grandpapa left a lasting legacy of love to his 11 grandchildren: Monique, Michelle, Chantal, Charles, Nathalie, Patricia, Josée, Céline, Estelle, Annick, Mélanie and his 26 great-grandchildren. His first love, Lucille, has welcomed him home after their long separation following her passing on December 17, 1993. He will also be missed by his second family - Alice (Gaston), Roger (Myrna) and Thérèse, his 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Rose has been waiting for him since June 13, 2012. Joe touched the lives of so many people in his 96 years. He will be missed by his remaining siblings, Thérèse and Jean-Marie, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Joe Trahan will forever be remembered as a gentleman...a kind...a loving person.
Joe par ceux qui l’aimaient, est décédé paisiblement le 28 juin 2018 à quelques semaines de ses 96 ans. Ses filles: Cécile, Lorraine (René), Jeannine (Jean-Marie) et Joanne (Robert) garderont à jamais un doux souvenir de leur Papa. Grandpapa laisse un héritage d’amour à ses 11 petits-enfants: Monique, Michelle, Chantal, Charles, Nathalie, Patricia, Josée, Céline, Estelle, Annick, Mélanie et à ses 26 arrières petits-enfants. Lucille, son premier amour, l’a accueilli après une longue séparation suivant son décès le 17 décembre 1993.
Il va aussi manquer aux membres de sa deuxième famille: Alice (Gaston), Roger (Myrna) et Thérèse ainsi qu’à ses 8 petits-enfants et à ses 18 arrières petits-enfants. Rose l’attendait depuis le 13 juin 2012. Joe a marqué la vie de maintes personnes. Il laissera sûrement un grand vide dans les vies de sa soeur Thérèse et de son frère Jean-Marie ainsi qu’à ses nombreux neveux et nièces et ses innombrables amis. On se souviendra toujours de Joe comme étant un gentleman. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday July 2, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass will be celebrated at St.Thomas D'Aquin in Astorville on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at 10am. If desired and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association would be gratefully acknowledged.
