(--. --- --- -.. -... -.-- .) (Goodbye in Morse Code)  Goodbye Punch!  Arthur (Punch) Thomas left us peacefully at the Serenity Hospice on Saturday, December 19, 2020.   He was proudly 101 1/2 years old.  His life was one of Family and friends.  Punch was the morse code operator for the CPR during WWII and ended his career with them as Telecommunications Wire Chief after 46 years of service.  Not satisfied with the leisure life, he operated a Dickie Dee franchise in the 70's and 80's.  Many will remember him sitting in his garage on Princess Street, smoking his White Owl cigars and loading up the bikes with ice cream.  He received many letters of thanks over the years from kids he hired to ride the bikes.

Many will also remember him having coffee with his friends at Northgate, especially the Thursday Girls!!

He is survived by his children Alanna Travers (John), Susan Aultman (Paul), Peter (Diane), Beth Brisson (Robert), Patti Vezina (Denis), Bill (Rozane) and Jim. He will be lovingly missed by his granchildren and great-grandchildren Sean (Angie, Jack, Scott), Ryan (Michelle, Michael, Darren), Alyssa, Rob (Pat, Alex, Gregory, Grace), Greg (Nathalie, Emery, Reid), Andrew (Laura, Brady, Blake) Matthew, Adam, Benjamin (Stephanie), Nicole (Josh), Caitlin, Emilie, Michel (Danielle), Jason, Kyle, Mitchell (Haley), Ian and Heather (Curtis).  Fondlly remembered by Sue Johnston and Debbie Thomas. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine (Irwin) and by his son, John Keith.  He was also predeceased by his parents Onesime and Eva, his sisters Eva and Rita and brothers Ron and infant Jacques. Special thanks to the amazing staff at Serenity Hospice, all his in-home PSWs, his nursing angel Courtney, Dr. R. King and the LHIN. A private funeral mass will be held at the Pro-Cathedral.  Arrangements entrusted to McGuinty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to North Bay Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
