STOCKILL, Janet Emmeline

Mrs. Janet Stockill died suddenly on Thursday, November 06, 2003 in her 88th year at North Bay General Hospital. Janet (Purdon) was predeceased by her husband John Henry “Harry” Stockill, and her sons Tom, Larry and 3 infants. She was the loving mother of Wes Stockill (Heather) of Powassan, Jean Thompson (Gordon) of Nipissing, Blake Stockill (Linda) of Powassan, Barb Hughes (Roy) of Nipissing, Fay Johnston (Dennis) of Nipissing and June Trefry (Eric) of Nova Scotia and mother-in-law of Louise Stockill of Powassan. Janet was also predeceased by her sisters Ada Towns, Hazel Kerr, Alma Courvoisier and brothers John and Robert Purdon. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan (705-724-2024) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Powassan Union Cemetery.
