Peacefully, at Lady Isabelle Nursing Home, Trout Creek on January 9, 2004 in her 88th year. Jean (Robertson) was predeceased by her husband Isaac Gilbert “Ike” Stillar (1905-1989), by her parents Florence (Bain) and William Robertson, her daughter Delta Whitmell (Jim, Brantford) and by her grandson Rodney Whitmell. She was the beloved mother of Sheldon Stillar (Bernice), Port Loring; loving grandmother of Terry Whitmell (Gail), Brantford and Kathy Hildebrandt (Rick), St. Catharines and great-grandmother of nine. Jean was the dear sister of Margaret Barber (late Harold), Loring and Gordon Robertson (Edna), Loring. She was predeceased by her sisters Agnes Humphrey and Beatrice Currie and by her brothers Archie and Stewart Robertson. The Stillar family will receive visitors at St. Andrew’s United Church, Port Loring on Sunday, January 11, 2004 from 2 to 40 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the church on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. with reverend Bill Broughton officiating. Spring interment Port Loring Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s United Church Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
