It is with broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Joanna Sokolowski, surrounded by the love of her family and friends on February 11, 2019 at the age of 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Victor Sokolowski (January 8, 2018 ). Loving mother of Andrew Sokolowski and his spouse Lyndan, Thaddeus Sokolowski and Rosemary Marshall and her spouse Cam. Cherished grandmother of Natalie, Benjamin, Amelia, Adam and great grandma of Ayden, Ashlynn, Ahna and Andrew. Predeceased by her parents; Walter and Maria (nee Barkacka) Rosicki. Joanna was a retired Registered Nurse, a long time Volunteer at the Hospital, a C.W.L. member, and a past member of the Polish Canadian Club. Family will be receiving visitors at the
McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay)on Friday February 15, 2019 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully appreciated by her family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the 3
