SMITH, Phyllis Marion (nee Hudson)

On Monday, December 15, 2003, in North Bay. Daughter of the late Eric and Elsie Hudson. Beloved wife of Reverend Walter Allen Smith. Dear sister of Joan Halpenny (Harold) of Smiths Falls, and sister-in-law of Dorothy Deeks of Ottawa and Margaret C. Smith of Shawville. Also survived by nieces Maureen Halpenny of Portland, Ontario, Eunice-Jean Thiel (Ron) of Milton, Phyllis Deeks of Ottawa, Carol Jackson of Ottawa, Elaine Paradise of California, nephew Gregory Halpenny (Heather) of Whitby and many great-nieces and nephews. Phyllis worked for nearly 20 years with the Veteran’s Affairs Department, and then later with the Apprenticeship Branch of the Ontario Government for 12 years. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, on Wednesday, December 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, December 18 at 11 am. Reception to follow. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Shawville, Quebec at 3 pm.
