Noreen Smith died peacefully with family by her side at Cassellholme, North Bay on Sunday, March 9, 2008 in her 93rd year. Noreen (Niffin) was the beloved wife of the late Lester Andrew Smith. She was the beloved Mother of Gwendolyn Edith (deceased) Lucy O'Connor of North Bay, Gilbert Smith (Peggy) of Wasi Lake, Gordon Smith (Linda) of Aurora and Janet Kincade (Mark) of Almonte. Noreen was the much loved grandmother of Shawna Lafreniere (Dave), Jodi Lynne Robinson (Ken), Karyn O'Connor (Rob),Trevor O'Connor, Scott Smith (Anne), Dale Smith, (Sharon), Randy Smith, Jonathan & Jessica Kincade, Lindsay Smith, Mary Anne Kmith (Jeff) and Katie Humphrey (Jim) and great-grandmother of Roderick, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Bryan, Amanda, Michael, Daryn, Alysha, Cynthia, and Malcom. She is survived by her sister Cordella “Del“ Mitchell of North Bay and was predeceased by sisters Sylvia Devolin and Wava Mattieusi. The Smith family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME in Powassan, today (Tuesday, March 10, 2008), from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Spring interment at Boxwell Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in memory of Noreen to the charity of your choice.
